Advanced Physiology was established in 2024. Business owner and Exercise Physiologist Nick Saunders wanted to expand from sole trading to service more clients and in turn help more people. Advanced Physiology believes that the foundation of a happy and fulfilling life requires a healthy body. A healthy body can be defined as one free from illness/ disease/ injury, or one which enables a person to participate in all desired activities. That's why we offer a range of services to support our clients to achieve their personalised goals; be that prevention, injury management, illness mitigation, strength/ training programs and more.

BUSINESS OWNER + EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
Nick received his Exercise Physiology degree from University of NSW. He has worked in many clinical areas from aged care, crossfit and disability care. After 13 years of clinical experience Nick founded Advanced Physiology. He specialises in complex movement pattern correction and managing fitness safely within the constraints of disease.
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Emily received her Doctorate in Physiotherapy from Macquarie University and her undergraduate of Sport and Exercise Science from UTS. Emily works closely with the exercise physiologist to facilitate collaborative practice. She has a passion for facilitating healthcare independence through health literacy education.

While these professions both focus on restoring structure and function of the human body and its movements; they have very different applications as allied health professionals. A Physiotherapist diagnoses and treats illnesses or injuries affecting the body by implementing strategies to improving function and pain. An exercise physiologist specialised in using exercise to facilitate lifestyle interventions and injury/ condition management.
In most cases, a referral from your healthcare provider is not required. If you wish to be eligible for a medicare rebate then you will need to speak to your primary health care provider for information.
